The long story short of my photography career: Indian parents said no to filmmaking.

They weren’t thrilled. I wanted to spend my high school career filming scripts behind a camera and directing animation features, so I enrolled in the much more respectable medium of photography and soon realized that images didn’t have to move to tell a story.

Of course, my parents still hope I’ll become a doctor someday, but ten years later, I continue to love the camera and articulating stories on film. Specifically, love stories.

I’ve honed my craft with other award-winning photographers and specialized in wedding photography. It’s been my greatest privilege to travel across the US, India, Mexico, and Japan to document couples’ happiest days. It’s been a transformative journey for me—all while deepening my appreciation for my own culture. Photographing the splendor of Indian weddings makes me proud of my heritage and has helped me feel more comfortable in my own skin. Now based in Los Angeles, CA, I aim to have the most cinematic yet true-to-who-you-are storytelling on your love, no matter where your celebration may be.

You don’t want stiff, posed photos—and neither do I. My primary focus is to always make you feel at ease in front of the camera. It’s where my directing background benefits even the most camera-shy subjects. Let’s also take it another level, tell me what films or shows you both love, what concerts you’ve been to, what are your favorite things to do together. I love taking inspiration from my couple’s personalities and using that in turn to their wedding photos and films. Do you like the dramatic tone of Mughal-E-Azam, or the more subtle yet romantic look of  All We Imagine As Light? From La La Land to RRR, I love using cinema to influence the art we make together. Trust me, we’ll get the natural & genuine pictures of you and your partner that you’ll be proud to frame for your grandchildren to see someday.

I believe wedding photography is so much more than capturing one event. (Or in the case of Indian weddings, multiple over the course of several days…) These are the images that help remind you of the vows you say to one another, your love just at its beginning before the years of maturity marriage brings,  you’ll use in your holiday card and look at every year on anniversaries. When watching your wedding film or viewing your photo book again, I want my clients to feel the rush of emotions from their wedding all over again. These are meant to perfectly showcase this pivotal moment in your life and stand the test of time.

For me, clients become lifelong friends who I’ll see again for anniversary parties, family photo sessions and so much more. I’m so excited for you and all that’s to come. Let me tell your love story.
